THE best eye make-up remover EVER?? x

So my darlings,

I taught for today’s post I would do a review on Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover, which is one of the most popular products in the Clarins Beauty range. To be honest I actually discovered this product by accident – it was a freebie when I was purchasing my moisturizer and primer 😉 – but I have fallen in love with it.

The product itself is a rose and cornflower blend so it’s a really gentle, oil based product, which easily removes all traces of heavy make-up. I was out last night and you know yourself, it can be quite tricky to remove all of the eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and eyelash glue that a girl simply can’t go without on a night on the town! 😉 But Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover gets rid of everything in a flash! I always shake the bottle vigorously before use, then soak two cotton pads with the liquid and hold over both eyes for a few minutes and gently wipe away – it honestly works like magic! 🙂

For anyone who has sensitive skin, I promise you will not be irritated by this product, it is so gentle on the skin and has even been both dermatologically and ophthalmologist tested. So if you haven’t already tried it and you have been searching high and low for a quality eye make-up remover (that actually works!) try this one from Clarins. It’s available for around €20 from department stores and pharmacies worldwide. 🙂

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation.

Ok, I know I’ve been slightly AWOL over the last week, so my apologies! I was away travelling for a few days.

Anyhoooo… while I was away on my holliers, I picked up the new YSL Touche Éclat Foundation. Now this product has only recently been released but there have been so so many reviews on it – and knowing how good the original Touche Éclat is – I had to try it out for myself!

The foundation comes in a tall  30ml glass bottle – not practical for the handbags I’m afraid 😦 – but the packaging really had that luxury feeling to it. The formula is amazing, it’s so light and feels great on the skin, but at the same time it gives great coverage. The YSL foundation comes in a variety of shades and different tones to suit everyones skin. I got BD50, which is for yellow toned skin. The BR range is for the pink toned folk, and B is for everyone else!

I bought my foundation in Brown Thomas – costing €38 – little pricey but well worth it. It’s a fairly big bottle and I’d say it will last a while as I only use two pumps when I apply it. I even got this gorgeous bracelet free with it! Value for money definitely in my opinion! 😉

So have any of you guys tried it out? Let me know what you all think! 🙂

Staying dry and warm during Racing Season..x..

So the weather is, well to put it bluntly, it’s just terrible. (I’m just happy when it’s not raining to be honest.) But needless to say us ladies won’t let the rain and cool breeze interfere with our social calendars. Summer season is also what I like to call Racing Season, and with the famous Galway Races just around the corner it’s time to start thinking up the most amazing outfits – of course bearing in mind the temperamental issues of Irish weather. So here are some of my favorites of what to wear – and how to keep somewhat dry and warm this summer!

-Hats and headpieces are always a must for the festival, especially on account of the mad hatters competition! I am a huge fan of Marion Creedon Hegarty’s designs – she will even create original pieces for clients using whichever fabrics and colours desired. I love this cream flower hat, which will pretty much go with everything, so it is an investment piece, costing €75.

Rock n Rose also has some great quirky creations if you decide to treat yourself, like this amazing Bird Cage Hat, as featured on Vogue UK, costing £110.

But if all these are a little bit out of your price range, you could always pick up a bargain off Ebay. I am constantly finding amazing stuff on this site – just make sure you always use paypal! There are fab pieces available from as little as 99c, so there is something to suit any budget.

-None of us really want to be putting coats and jackets on over our magnificent dresses so scarves and shawls are the perfect partner for all formal wear. New designer Mary Katrantzou has recently teamed up with Topshop and this blue printed shawl is a steal, now reduced to €30 – I’ve picked mine up already!

-And finally, of course, as every Irish girl knows – never leave home without a brolly! Umbrellas don’t have to ruin our gorgeous racing outfits they can be quirky accessories. I’m absolutely in love with Topshop’s amazing Leopard Bow Walker Umbrella, which only costs €20! Isn’t it gorgeous? Penneys have some great bargains too for those of us who can’t afford to make such splurges on our wet weather gear.

Hope this helps you all somewhat ladies! Happy racing! xoxo
