Bionic Oil!..x..

After hearing so many reviews and opinions on Bio Oil, I decided it was time I invested in a bottle and tried it out for myself.

I have always had very dry skin – I drink gallons of water on a daily basis, but still frequently get small little dry patches on my skin, for some unknown reason. So after hearing about Bio Oil and how great it is for dry skin I said I’d give it a go, and I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with the results.

The texture of the oil isn’t too watery like some other oil based products I’ve used before. It spreads easily and drys in super quick – no sitting around waiting for the oil to soak in. 😉 Since I started using the oil a couple of weeks ago, I’ve already noticed a huge difference in my skin. It’s much smoother and there are much fewer dry patches. My skin is rehydrated and looking better thank ever!

I would definitely recommend Bio Oil to all of my readers. It suits almost all skin types and is great for dry skin, scars and stretch marks – although it’s more of a preventative I reckon than a solution. Bio Oil is available nationwide in all pharmacies, priced at around €10 – a bargain! 😉

Big Beautiful Eyes!..x..

Happy Monday Everyone! 🙂

I dunno about all of you, but here in Dublin, Ireland, we had a beautiful sunny day – which is a rarity in all fairness. 😉 What better than to start the week talkin about one of my favorite everyday eyeshadow palettes, Benefits Big Beautiful Eyes. Now this palette has been around for some time and I’ve been a fan of it for a lonnnnggg time. It consists of three brown shades, which when you have blue eyes like myself you tend to wear a lot of :), there is also a concealer, which is great for any shadows in the under eye area, and there are two handy sized little brushes. The pack itself is quite compact so it easily fits into the smallest of makeup bags – perfect for on the go, there’s even a mirror! 😉 The little eyeliner brush is my favorite little brush ever also, it’s so teeny tiny but does an amazing job at blending and perfecting eyeliner and eyeshadow. There’s even a little booklet included inside the pack, which illustrates a step by step guide to creating the perfect contoured eyes – really what more could a girl need? 😉 This entire set is available in most pharmacies and department stores for around €35.

A Midweek Nail Treat..x..

So, woke up this morning and felt like a little treat – I mean I do deserve it right? 😉 Lol! So decided to get a little file and polish done in my faithful NailsInc Counter in Brown Thomas. Nothing better to perk up a girls week than having fabulous nails right? 😊💅 Nails Inc polishes have been a favourite of mine for quite some time. They come in such a huge variety of shades, and even do really cool glitter and crackle effects. There really is a polish for every occasion! I decided to go for a nice neutral colour – called Porchester Square – its kind of a purple/silvery beige. It’s fab! And will go with everything. The girls always do such a good job at applying, and my nails were touch dry in just five minutes, which is amazing! 😉 I also decided to purchase the polish as I like it so much – and I know I’ll get great use out of it. Decided to purchase another two shades also, an orange shade called Wellington Square and their new silver shade called Mayfair. What do you think of the colours?

THE best eye make-up remover EVER?? x

So my darlings,

I taught for today’s post I would do a review on Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover, which is one of the most popular products in the Clarins Beauty range. To be honest I actually discovered this product by accident – it was a freebie when I was purchasing my moisturizer and primer 😉 – but I have fallen in love with it.

Image

The product itself is a rose and cornflower blend so it’s a really gentle, oil based product, which easily removes all traces of heavy make-up. I was out last night and you know yourself, it can be quite tricky to remove all of the eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and eyelash glue that a girl simply can’t go without on a night on the town! 😉 But Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover gets rid of everything in a flash! I always shake the bottle vigorously before use, then soak two cotton pads with the liquid and hold over both eyes for a few minutes and gently wipe away – it honestly works like magic! 🙂

For anyone who has sensitive skin, I promise you will not be irritated by this product, it is so gentle on the skin and has even been both dermatologically and ophthalmologist tested. So if you haven’t already tried it and you have been searching high and low for a quality eye make-up remover (that actually works!) try this one from Clarins. It’s available for around €20 from department stores and pharmacies worldwide. 🙂

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation.

Ok, I know I’ve been slightly AWOL over the last week, so my apologies! I was away travelling for a few days.

Anyhoooo… while I was away on my holliers, I picked up the new YSL Touche Éclat Foundation. Now this product has only recently been released but there have been so so many reviews on it – and knowing how good the original Touche Éclat is – I had to try it out for myself!

The foundation comes in a tall  30ml glass bottle – not practical for the handbags I’m afraid 😦 – but the packaging really had that luxury feeling to it. The formula is amazing, it’s so light and feels great on the skin, but at the same time it gives great coverage. The YSL foundation comes in a variety of shades and different tones to suit everyones skin. I got BD50, which is for yellow toned skin. The BR range is for the pink toned folk, and B is for everyone else!

I bought my foundation in Brown Thomas – costing €38 – little pricey but well worth it. It’s a fairly big bottle and I’d say it will last a while as I only use two pumps when I apply it. I even got this gorgeous bracelet free with it! Value for money definitely in my opinion! 😉

So have any of you guys tried it out? Let me know what you all think! 🙂

Summer is officially over!

So seeing as we’re now officially into Autumn on Irish soil.. I figured what better to post about but the best false tan products out there on the market! Cause lets be honest ladies, we had zero summery weather and the week or two in the sun that some of us were lucky to avail of seems oh but a distant memory! 😦 But fear not! We need not keep the pasty white skin that was forced upon us, here are some of my top picks when it comes to bronzing up..x..

Sally Hansen – Instant airbrush legs:

This is an amazing instant tan, with a beautiful shimmering effect. It’s got great coverage as it’s actually make-up, but for legs! I’ve used it all over my body on numerous occasions, and it’s by far one of my favorites for a night out on the town. A reliable product, as used by Kim Kardashian herself!! 😉

St Tropez – Gradual Tanning Mousse:

A little bit more pricier, but if you’ve got the cash it’s well worth the investment! It comes in liquid and spray forms too but I’m personally more fond of the mousse as I find it seems to go on easier. It’s a gradual bronzing product, so it comes out looking really natural, and it is best applied daily. (I find after the morning shower is great!) Has been loved by many celebs over the years – a fantastic product! 🙂

Image

St Moriz – Instant Self Tanning Mousse:

A cheaper alternative to St. Tropez, available in Penneys stores nationwide. It’s a relatively good product that goes on well enough as long as you give your skin a good bit of papering first – ie. exfoliator and moisturizer are a must! If your skin is in dire need of a bit of colour this product is actually great! It does what it says and has quickly become a huge success on the highstreet! 🙂

Image

Rimmel – Instant Sun Shimmer:

Another reliable, cheap-as-chips product, that does exactly what it says on the packaging! Rimmels products have always been fab and this false tan has been a favorite of my friends and I since we first found out what “Fake Tan” was. It’s available everywhere – which is great, as you can always scribble it down the end of Mum’s shopping list before she heads off to Tescos or Dunnes! The only problem I have with this product is that it washes off waaaay too easily – like even in a light rain shower! Not the most ideal product for us gals here in Ireland! :-/

Xen Tan – Weekly Instant Self Tan:

Now this is only a recent discovery of mine, and it is a bit on the expensive, but I promise you the results are amazing! It’s hard enough to find in stores – I ordered some online – but after a friend of mine told me about it and already having known that it was a huge hit with the celebs worldwide – including the gorgeous Kate Middleton! 😉 I had to try it! Check out Natasha Tynan’s amazing post on Xen Fake Tan too!! Great work lady!!
